The PIN issued by SARS allows a third party to verify your tax compliance status online via eFiling. The PIN provides real-time information about your tax compliance status at the time of checking, rather than the status at the time the PIN was issued. Please note that to maintain the confidentiality of taxpayer information, no other information will be accessible.
A Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) serves as proof of tax compliance and may be required for various reasons, including:
• Tender or Bid Applications
• Confirmation of Good Standing
• Foreign Investment Allowance (FIA)
• Emigration
